About The Position

The Production Trainee works within the tape library to maintain and grow the NBA’s extensive digital archive. The role is in office and is part of a unionized bargaining unit, with union membership required. Assignment end dates are tentative and subject to change. The position may require working nights and/or weekends when necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Superior basketball and historical knowledge.
• Strong computer and technical skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written and oral communication and active listening skills.
• Precise, detail-oriented approach to tasks.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Passion for the history of basketball.

Nice To Haves

• Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills and demonstrated experience with data structures, reporting, and formula functions.
• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere.

Responsibilities

• Perform extensive tape library searches.
• Manage library asset data and physical tape organization.
• Assist with off-site storage and tape retrieval.
• Support digitization of physical assets for the content archive.
