About The Position

The Production Trainee works in the MDF production area and trains to become fully qualified to perform the Refiner and Press Operator jobs. The position also assists equipment operators with day-to-day tasks and performs assignments in accordance with PDM. Responsibilities include routine and complicated equipment checks and keeping the production area clean and organized. This is a rotating-shift position.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend technical work instructions.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate heavy machinery.
• Ability to work with electric, pneumatic, or hand tools.
• Ability to be trained and become certified to operate a forklift.
• Ability to comprehend and manipulate metric measurements.
• Ability to work effectively with other facility team members.
• Ability to work without constant supervision.
• Ability to creatively problem-solve individually or as part of a group.
• Ability to work in extreme heat and cold.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders at a safe but rapid pace.
