Job Summary As a Production Test Technician 1 at Viavi Solutions, LLC, you will perform routine functional testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic and optical products in a manufacturing environment. You will work under direct supervision, ensuring products meet quality standards and specifications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with electronics or optical products.
  • Basic understanding of electronic components and circuits.
  • Ability to read and follow written test instructions and schematics.
  • Proficiency with basic hand tools and test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Execute standard test procedures on various electronic and optical components and assemblies using established test equipment.
  • Identify and isolate non-conforming products or components according to documented procedures.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting to component level under guidance from senior technicians or engineers.
  • Document test results accurately and completely in manufacturing execution systems (MES) or other designated databases.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and maintain quality standards.
  • Assist in maintaining and calibrating test equipment as directed.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
