About The Position

The Production Test Operator supports ATE final test operations and leads day-to-day operation of the automated IC testing and tape-and-reel production line for custom customer orders and engineering samples. The role is responsible for line execution, yield tracking, and order fulfillment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
0–2 years of experience in automated electronics or semiconductor back-end manufacturing.
Working knowledge of MES software, inventory tracking (ERP/SAP), and basic MS Excel for production logs.
Knowledge of pick-and-place handlers, tape-and-reel sealers, label printers, and vacuum sealers.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate production records.
Dependability and accountability for meeting production objectives.
Teamwork, communication, and shift handoff skills.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and maintain automated test equipment and handlers.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree.

Responsibilities

Set up and run production machinery, including loading ATE test handlers.
Load device trays and tubes into automated test handlers.
Monitor jam rates, perform basic contactor cleaning, and clear mechanical jams to maintain machine throughput.
Inspect die surfaces, bond wires, and package leads under optical microscopes for cracks, chip-outs, or solder bridging.
Record pass/fail yields, scrap counts, and test execution data in MES/ERP tracking software.
Flag low-yield lots to quality and product engineers.
