Production Test Engineer II
About The Position
The Production Test Engineer II supports production test strategy, architectures, systems, and transition to production through data analysis and Root Cause Corrective Action methodologies. The role helps validate and ensure that prime hardware complies with technical data package requirements and that supporting test equipment is suitable for production use. The position is based onsite at the Raytheon Diné Facility in Farmington, New Mexico. Employees in onsite roles work primarily onsite. U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program or contract. No security clearance is required. The facility follows the Navajo Nation Preference in Employment Act in its recruitment and hiring practices.
Requirements
- Typically, a bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in manufacturing and/or production test environments.
- Experience with data analysis or Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with electronics/electrical engineering, basic mechanical engineering, or basic computer programming.
- Experience with hands-on hardware integration and troubleshooting.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred college degrees include Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics.
Responsibilities
- Help validate new or modified test equipment for production use.
- Ensure work instructions are accurate and test equipment and software meet product-specific test requirements.
- Assist with analysis of predictive metrics, failure modes, and test yields.
- Assist with preliminary investigations to resolve problems.
- Participate in non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis, and repair of products or test equipment.
- Assist in delivering technical training to production test specialists and metrology personnel.
- Be available to cover additional shifts, including some weekend work.
