About The Position
Asahi Kasei Plastics North America is seeking a Production Tech to work nights 6pm to 6am on a 2-3-2 schedule. This is a direct hire position with fantastic benefits. We are committed to a safe working environment and seeking someone that appreciates and contributes to safety. We offer a smaller company work atmosphere with each shift having around 20 employees.
Requirements
- Minimum requirement is must be 18 years of age
- Must be able to meet the requirements of driving a forklift (Company certifies on-the-job)
- Must be able to work a 12 hour shift (Day shift is 6 am to 6 pm; Night shift 6 pm to 6 am)
- Basic mathematics
- Housekeeping
- Communicates clearly from shift to shift
Responsibilities
- Assisting operator to start up extruder
- Assisting with cleaning tasks during extruder change over
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Labeling, repackaging, sorting and recycling materials throughout the operations area
- General housekeeping and light maintenance
- Working under the direction of senior employees to move, weigh, mix, and stage materials
- Monitor process parameters, refill levels, as directed
- Working under the direction of senior operators, supporting line operating activities, by collecting samples and performing material analysis tasks (melt flow, filler, moisture checks)
