About The Position

The Production Technician is responsible for restoring components by operating electric/air powered hand tools. This role involves measuring, examining, and testing completed parts to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments. The technician will use OEM prints and design sketches to ensure the proper outcome of repairs and may fabricate or modify fixtures and maintain industrial machines. This position relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience as an auto body technician or with mechanical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Restore components by operating electric/air powered hand tools.
  • Measure, examine, and test completed parts to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Use OEM prints and design sketches to ensure proper outcome of repair.
  • Fabricate to modify fixtures and maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal working, layout, grit blasting and cleaning procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support other departments, personnel or projects.
