About The Position

The Production Plant Technician has the responsibility for the operation and control of equipment used in air separation, vacuum swing absorption and carbon dioxide plants. This role is also accountable for the care and maintenance of plant mechanical, instrumentation and electrical devices and equipment. The position will provide support to various aspects of the plant. This role will also be on-call and assist the plant manager, plant engineer, and Lead Operator Quality Tech in day to day operations. Tasks include but are not limited to, safety compliance, rounds and readings, maintenance activities, training, truck loading of cryogenic liquids, quality assurance, review of documentation, responsibility for corrective work orders, water treatment monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Advanced technical training in chemical plant operations with refrigeration, screw compressors, reciprocating compressors, water treatment, absorption beds and desiccant dryers, analyzers, and other process equipment required.
  • Understanding of control valve functions and systems used to control flows & pressures on industrial tanks.
  • Experience troubleshooting equipment in a plant environment.
  • Valid employment authorization in the U.S.
  • Must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • 5-10 years of industrial plant / cryogenic plant experience preferred.
  • Carbon Dioxide Plant or related industrial experience is a plus.
  • Understanding the water treatment principles and equipment is a plus.
  • A basic understanding of refrigeration systems is a plus.
  • A basic understanding of air separation and associated technologies is a plus.
  • Electrical/Instrumentation background is a plus.

Responsibilities
