As a Senior Production Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and operating equipment and processes according to standard operating procedures and pilot protocols. You will inspect products for quality and adherence to specifications, and ensure the accuracy of all process orders and associated documentation, records, and metrics. The role involves participating in the development and review of documentation changes for accuracy and efficiency, preparing work centers for line clearance, and conducting regular cleaning as per standard operating procedures. You will also train other employees as needed, participate in process improvement teams, and act as a liaison with engineering staff on process improvement and development. Maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions are key responsibilities. This position performs semi-routine support duties of a specialized nature within an assigned area, supporting manufacturing operations in areas such as manufacturing, packaging, and/or product labeling. You will set up and operate a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines, working from process sheets or written/verbal instructions. Responsibilities include checking and inspecting operations against predetermined tolerances, providing support to an area, person, or program, and interfacing with internal customers. You will function as a subject matter expert in your area of knowledge and participate in the development and/or delivery of training for other employees on equipment and/or procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with 2 years of related experience.
  • Specialized training or certification in particular area, system or equipment.
  • Experience in team oriented work environment.
  • Experience in regulated work environment.
  • Thorough understanding of appropriate safety, health, and environmental procedures.
  • ERP and/or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) experience.
  • Ability to engage, lead, and communicate in written and verbal format.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodology.
  • Basic computer skills with competency using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Thorough understanding of the principles and applications of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 9001.

Responsibilities
