As a Senior Production Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and operating equipment and processes according to standard operating procedures and pilot protocols. You will inspect products for quality and adherence to specifications, complete and ensure the accuracy of all process orders and associated documentation, records, and metrics. Additionally, you will participate in the development and review of documentation changes, prepare work centers for line clearance, and conduct regular cleaning. This role involves training other employees, participating in process improvement teams, acting as a liaison with engineering staff, and maintaining the quality system. You will perform semi-routine support duties of a specialized nature within an assigned area, supporting manufacturing operations in areas such as manufacturing, packaging, and product labeling. You will set up and operate various automatic or semi-automatic machines, working from process sheets or written/verbal instructions. Responsibilities include checking and inspecting operations against predetermined tolerances, providing support to specific areas, persons, or programs, and interfacing with internal customers. You will also function as a subject matter expert and participate in training development and delivery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with 2 years of related experience.
  • Specialized training or certification in a particular area, system, or equipment.
  • Experience in a team-oriented work environment.
  • Experience in a regulated work environment.
  • Thorough understanding of appropriate safety, health, and environmental procedures.
  • ERP and/or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) experience.
  • Ability to engage, lead, and communicate in written and verbal format.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodology.
  • Basic computer skills with competency using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Thorough understanding of the principles and applications of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate equipment and processes in accordance with standard operating procedures and pilot protocols.

  • Participate in process improvement teams and help implement improvements.
  • Act as a liaison with engineering staff on process improvement and development and communicate to the production team.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the quality system and achieve quality objectives through daily actions.
