About The Position

The Production Technician is responsible for the fabrication of high-quality Insulating Glass for Residential Window & Door Manufacturers. This role requires adherence to all safety practices and guidelines, embodying Cardinal Values and a culture of integrity and respect. The technician will operate high-tech glass fabrication equipment, utilize a pallet jack to move racks, and manually load glass onto conveyors. Responsibilities also include attaching channel to the glass, removing glass during malfunctions, changing preserve rolls, moving racks, removing rejects, and inspecting product for quality to meet or exceed Cardinal and customer expectations. A willingness to seek additional roles and responsibilities within the department, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and flexibility to work overtime are essential.

Requirements

  • Consistent Work History - preferably in manufacturing or warehousing experience, but not required
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
  • Climbing/ Manipulation/Reaching/Push/Pull/Grip/Pinch

Responsibilities

  • Follow all Safety Practices and Guidelines

  • Operate High Tech Glass Fabrication Equipment
  • Utilize pallet jack to move racks in/out of Sort Jet
  • Manually load lites onto IG conveyor
  • Attach channel to the deleted edge of the coated glass
  • Remove the glass from AGP when a malfunction occurs
  • Change preserve rolls on the Masker
  • Move or position racks and A-frames for loading
  • Remove rejects/rerun units from the sealer
  • Inspect product for quality to meet or exceed Cardinal and customer expectations
  • Willingness to seek out additional roles and responsibilities within your department
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail
  • Flexibility - may be required to work overtime to meet customer deadlines
