About The Position
The Production Technician is responsible for the fabrication of high-quality Insulating Glass for Residential Window & Door Manufacturers. This role involves operating high-tech glass fabrication equipment, manually loading glass, and ensuring product quality meets or exceeds company and customer expectations. The position also requires a willingness to take on additional responsibilities and work effectively in a team environment.
Requirements
- Consistent Work History - preferably in manufacturing or warehousing experience, but not required
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
- Climbing/ Manipulation/Reaching/Push/Pull/Grip/Pinch
Responsibilities
- Follow all Safety Practices and Guidelines
- Follow Cardinal Values and Culture of Integrity and Respect
- Operate High Tech Glass Fabrication Equipment
- Utilize pallet jack to move racks in/out of Sort Jet
- Manually load lites onto IG conveyor
- Attach channel to the deleted edge of the coated glass
- Remove the glass from AGP when a malfunction occurs
- Change preserve rolls on the Masker
- Move or position racks and A-frames for loading
- Remove rejects/rerun units from the sealer
- Inspect product for quality to meet or exceed Cardinal and customer expectations
- Willingness to seek out additional roles and responsibilities within your department
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail
- Flexibility - may be required to work overtime to meet customer deadlines
