Our crop protection site located in Valdosta, GA has an exciting opportunity for a Production Technician to join our team. Please note: Relocation is not offered. VISA Sponsorship is not available. This role is 100% on-site.

Requirements

  • High School/GED or equivalent.
  • Have a current, valid, United States driver's license.
  • Pass a drug screen, background history, and other relevant screens if job offer is received and accepted.
  • Read, write, and speak English.
  • Reliable attendance.
  • Work a rotating shift and/or overtime.
  • Ability to be regularly medically approved and fit tested for respirator use.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Obtain necessary certifications as needed.
  • Candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the role, which include, but are not limited to the ability to: Use standard safety equipment which is rated at 300 pounds or less.
  • Pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds multiple times per day and maneuver hoses, flange connections and operate valves and similar equipment.
  • Perceive, identify, and respond to plant and site alarms or other hazard warnings.
  • Follow procedures and practices to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
  • Safely operate fork trucks, condors, and/or site vehicles.
  • Candidates must be willing and able to work in environments that include tight or closed-in spaces, climb stairs/ladders and work at heights, stand or walk for extended periods of time, frequent bending and reaching, outdoors and inclement weather.
  • Ability to consistently wear and work in required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe boots, hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, long-sleeved clothing, fall-protection harnesses, and other site-specific safety equipment.
  • Ability to wear respiratory protection equipment, including powered air-purifying respirators (PAPRs) or similar respiratory devices, for extended periods as required by the role.
  • Must meet all applicable medical and safety requirements necessary to safely perform the essential functions of the position while wearing required PPE and respiratory protection equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant trade school training or technical background.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing or relevant military experience.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment, process, and quality issues.
  • Support safe plant operations, including maintenance preparation, permitting, and return-to-service checks.
  • Follow EH&S policies, operating procedures, and work processes.
  • Utilize plant systems and electronic tools to complete daily responsibilities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, root cause investigations, and plant projects.
  • Communicate effectively across shifts and collaborate with team members to achieve plant goals.
  • Maintain operating standards, share best practices, and pursue ongoing training and development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
