About The Position

The Production Technician works in a variety of skill areas within production and packaging to produce product for the company. This role requires adherence to all company Safety Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) to ensure high-quality products are made safely. The technician must be available to work any rotating shift, any work schedule, including weekends and overtime as needed, and maintain a good attendance record. The Production Technician must be adaptable to work in all skill areas of production and packaging, operate a computer for data entry and record maintenance, and function effectively as part of a team, assisting others as needed. The role also requires meeting all physical demands and performing additional duties safely.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude is required.
  • Must be able to read, understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) work environment.
  • Must have computer skills for data entry, records and time keeping, accessing online training resources, information retrieval, computer-based training completion, and using electronic communications such as email.
  • Follows all company Safety Practices and personal safety requirements, including using and/or wearing required Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must have experience using basic hand and power tools (i.e., wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, drills, grinders, fasteners, etc.).
  • Must be able to analyze information using basic skills in math and statistical and historical data.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Willingness to complete each stage of the selection process.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a variety of skill areas, in production and packaging, to produce product for the company.
  • Follow all company Safety Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
  • Produce high quality products in a safe manner.
  • Operate a computer to input and review data for the purpose of maintaining accurate records.
  • Work as part of a team and assist others as needed.
  • Meet all the physical demands of the role and any additional duties/task required in a safe manner.
  • Perform the necessary physical movements for the purposes of operating, maintaining, and cleaning high-speed making, packing, shipping, and other production related equipment.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of machinery and process issues, which would include repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Operate essential material handling equipment at the site (i.e., Forklift, Hand Trucks, Clamp Trucks, etc.).
  • Support and perform changeover processes on equipment and systems.
  • Enter Confined Spaces, including tanks and other specialty skill areas.
  • Discern the various visual and audible alarms and signals for equipment, start-up, evacuations, fires, etc.
  • Maintain good attendance record.
  • Assist fellow employees in order to meet the Team's goals.
  • Apply reasonable understanding to carry out both oral and written instructions.
