About The Position

The Production Technician will be responsible for restoring components by operating electric/air powered hand tools. This role involves measuring, examining, and testing completed parts to ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments. The technician will use OEM prints and design sketches to ensure the proper outcome of repairs and will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines. Additionally, the role may involve fabricating and modifying fixtures, and maintaining industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metalworking, layout, grit blasting, and cleaning procedures. Other duties may be assigned to support other departments, personnel, or projects.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
• Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level.
• Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 20 pounds.
• Requires repetitive hand movement.
• Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Use of Hand Tools
• Exposure to materials identified on Material Safety Data Sheets.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as an auto body technician or with mechanical experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Use OEM prints and design sketches to ensure proper outcome of repair.
• Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Fabricate to modify fixtures and maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal working, layout, grit blasting and cleaning procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned to support other departments, personnel or projects.
