Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of safety and operations policies and procedures.
  • Administration duties in both written and oral formats.
  • Strong communication with management staff on daily operations of water treatment facilities.
  • Strong work ethic, time management, written and oral communication skills, organizational and team leadership skills.
  • Independent decision making and acceptance of accountability for related actions and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess and exhibit a working knowledge of the general principles of operation of production.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • A valid drivers license
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within the water or wastewater industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and ensure reliable operation of water treatment facilities, tank sites, and booster stations.
  • Work on pumps, chemical feed systems, and controls.
  • Perform tasks requiring knowledge of electrical, mechanical and water treatment facilities.
  • Operate heavy equipment including a forklift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Perform routine water quality lab sampling.
  • Regulate flow of the water treatment plant.
  • Maintain required pressure.
  • Ensure IEPA requirements are met.
  • Play an active role in the development and maintaining SOPs.
  • Support planning and execution of capital work.
  • Perform routine and special maintenance of tanks, pumps and pumping equipment.
  • Utilize system of records i.e. MapCall, Waterly, Ignition or others as required.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, water sampling and facility inspections.
  • Perform other work necessary for reliable water service, and the efficient and best operation and maintenance of facilities.
