About The Position

The Production Technician, Processing uses experience and training to manufacture pharmaceuticals in a strictly controlled Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment. The role carries out manufacturing, sanitation, testing, cleaning, formulation, and maintenance activities while following company and GMP policies and procedures. The technician may also assist other operators and help train or direct PT1 operators.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 3 years of work experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a regulated manufacturing facility.

Nice To Haves

At least 5 years of GMP experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or another Life Science discipline.
Experience reading, comprehending, and discussing detailed GMP documentation.
Experience in bulk formulation, equipment cleaning, preparation, and assembly.

Responsibilities

Comply with all company and GMP compliance policies and procedures.
Perform area sanitization procedures in a GMP manufacturing facility.
Perform filter integrity testing.
Clean miscellaneous manufacturing equipment and vessels.
Perform raw material weighing (dispensing) and bulk formulation.
Assist PT3 operators as instructed.
Perform system maintenance preventive maintenance tasks and procedures.
Perform sterile filtrations, unload the autoclave, and complete Steam-in-Place operations as deemed necessary by area management.
Assist in training and directing PT1 operators.
