About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring a Processing Helper in Jerome, Idaho, to support food production operations. The role assists with daily production, packaging, sanitation, material transport, production recordkeeping, continuous improvement, quality compliance, and resolving equipment or process issues. The position is a swing shift scheduled from 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday, with some Fridays.

Requirements

Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Able to pass a background check.
Able to work in the United States.
Experience in a manufacturing or process technician role.
Strong understanding of GMP and safety regulations in manufacturing.
Familiarity with production equipment and quality control processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly.
Able to stand and work 10-hour shifts.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Processing Helper experience preferred.
Technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with production tasks, including weighing, mixing, feeding, and blending ingredients into machines.
Package finished products in containers, bags, or boxes and label them according to company standards.
Clean and sanitize equipment to meet food and drug administration safety standards.
Transport raw ingredients, packaging materials, and finished goods throughout the facility.
Maintain accurate production, sanitation, and ingredient-tracking records.
Manage continuous improvement projects, ensuring alignment across departments and timely implementation.
Collaborate with Quality to ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment- and process-related issues in a timely manner.
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
