About The Position

Golden Aluminum is a continuous casting aluminum rolling mill located in Fort Lupton, Colorado. We are seeking Production Technicians responsible for the daily operation of heavy, moderately complex foundry equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role involves working on various equipment including presses, mills, casters, shredders, ovens, annealers, and/or slitters. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and has received investment to support breakthrough projects for a greener aluminum industry.

Requirements

• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
• Pass pre-employment drug test based on federal law (includes marijuana)
• Ability to work any shift (2x2x3 schedule), 12 hours per shift, alternating day/nights every 6 weeks
• Basic Microsoft computer skills
• Basic/fundamental math skills
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail identifying defects and suggesting corrections
• Physically able to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Adherence to all safety protocols
• Ensuring continuous product flow while visually inspecting to meet quality standards and customer specifications
• Operating forklifts
• Monitoring machine calibrations and adjusting as required
• Safely setting up and tearing down machines
• Maintaining quality control levels as set by Golden Aluminum
• Reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating manuals, and procedures
