This role involves working in a dedicated small seed vegetable (SSV) conditioning and seed health area, providing leadership and overall seed quality expertise to SSV plant activities. The technician will be responsible for maintaining, documenting, and adhering to established plant operating procedures, ensuring accurate identification and filling of orders per production instructions. They will also oversee equipment clean-downs, changeovers, quality sample assistance, and product quality assessments to meet product specifications. Development and execution of processing plans, proactive interdepartmental communication, and a proactive response to non-conforming product are key. The role also includes rigorous plant and equipment maintenance scheduling, continuous improvement efforts, and providing necessary information. The technician will use their skills to contribute to concept development and complete tasks effectively, developing and executing processing work instructions, task cards, and JSAs in accordance with document management procedures.
