AkroFire is seeking a Production Technician (Mold Shop) who will hand mold silicon/neoprene coated fiberglass onto tools according to the specifications of the drawing. Requirements

Requires a High School Diploma/GED or combination of relevant education and work experience may be substituted to meet educational requirements only.
0-2 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment or similar preferred.
Possesses high mechanical aptitude.
Attention to detail.
Willingness to learn.
Action oriented.
Ability to follow instructions explicitly or innovate, depending on the situation.
Possesses strong problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Possesses knowledge and understanding of continuous improvement environment.
Ability to read design specifications and technical drawings.
Comfortable performing repetitive hand operations to successfully manufacture and deliver products.
Perform associated ergonomic exercises to mitigate fatigue and prevent injury.
Sitting 70% standing 30% throughout the day.
Able to lift 40 lbs.
Must be a "U.S. person" as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15), which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees, as required by U.S. export control laws.

Responsibilities

Hand mold silicon/neoprene coated fiberglass onto tools according to the specifications of the drawing.
Use small hand tools such as hobby knives and scissors throughout the day.
Use tools to verify output meets standards.
Maintain documentation as required throughout the manufacturing process.
Read drawings and follow work instructions.
Work well with others to ensure parts are completed in a timely manner.
Maintain a clean and F.O.D. free work area.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
