About The Position

The Production Technician III, referred to in the position summary as the Team Leader, is proficient in all positions within the assigned line and leads the team. The role coordinates, plans, and trains department requirements by providing clear written and verbal instructions to group members and promptly addressing questions or concerns. The position reports to the Production Supervisor.

The role supports a team environment, sets expectations and helps provide resources needed to meet deadlines. It guides employees through problem-solving and process improvements, mentors team members, leads daily safety discussions, and monitors safe work areas. The technician applies continuous improvement methods to sustain and improve quality, enforces company policies and procedures, and keeps work areas clean and organized. The employee must be willing to receive First Aid/CPR/AED training at company expense.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of employment experience at Morbark.
• Proven excellent attendance with the company.
• No corrective-action write-ups within the last year.
• Accept ongoing change and adapt to working in different departments, sometimes daily.
• Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and JDE.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, set priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of problem-solving tools for continuous improvement.
• Willingness to be trained in First Aid/CPR/AED at company expense.
