About The Position

This position is within the Power Generation Division, responsible for all NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations. It is a multi-craft position focused on operating and maintaining plant equipment at the Pensacola, Florida facility. The preferred craft is Instrumentation and Controls. The role involves performing power plant operations and maintenance on station equipment, including miscellaneous duties such as water chemistry and environmental compliance activities. This position requires working a 12-hour rotating shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and responding to off-hour callouts as needed.

Requirements

• Must obtain outside/inside operation qualifications.
• Possess Journeyman level qualification specific to the craft discipline (Industrial Electrician, Journeyman I&C, or Journeyman Mechanic) or hold an Associate degree that directly applies to Power Generation.
• If entering classification with a relevant Associate degree, must obtain the basic craft of the discipline specified in the Position Specific Description section in addition to outside/inside qualification operation qualification.
• High School Diploma / GED.
• Pass the POSS & MASS tests.

Nice To Haves

• 3-5 years Industrial experience in the craft discipline specified in the Position Specific Description section.
