Entry Level Production Technician
About The Position
The Production Technician I is an entry-level position and a critical contributor to our manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll learn to operate precision equipment in a cleanroom environment while helping produce high-quality, custom contact lenses. You’ll be trained hands-on, supported by experienced teammates, and given clear opportunities to build technical skills and grow your career. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic math skills (addition and subtraction)
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn technical processes
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Comfort standing for extended periods and working with small components
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft 365 or similar software
Nice To Haves
- Entry Technician employees are expected to maintain consistent attendance, deliver high-quality performance, and achieve proficiency in either Base Curve or Front Curve processes within 90 days.
- Employees who meet these benchmarks become eligible for advancement to Technician II.
Responsibilities
- Learn and perform foundational production tasks at one or more entry-level manufacturing stations
- Follow all work instructions, SOPs, safety guidelines, and cleanroom protocols
- Maintain accurate production and material usage records
- Rotate through manufacturing functions as part of a high-performance team
- Clean and sanitize production equipment and work areas daily
- Report equipment issues or quality concerns promptly
- Participate in required training and demonstrate progress toward Technician II proficiency
- Collaborate with teammates to meet daily production goals
- Apply the company's core fundamentals in daily work and interactions
