Production Technician I - FLEX
About The Position
The Production Technician I role is aligned to the Coffee Operating Unit and is based in Essex Junction, Vermont. The technician operates and monitors production machinery to maximize production while maintaining Keurig Dr Pepper’s safety and quality standards. The role also supports manufacturing process improvements related to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and growth. This FLEX position offers shifts of 6, 8, or 12 hours that employees can pick up through a mobile shift management system, up to 29 hours per week. The job posting also lists full-time shift schedules: day shifts running 6:00 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. and night shifts running 6:00 p.m. to 6:15 a.m., on Monday–Wednesday or Friday–Sunday, with alternating Thursdays.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stretch, and stand throughout the entire shift.
- Ability to frequently kneel, squat, climb stairs or ladders, bend, stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions.
- Ability to work in a variety of temperature and humidity conditions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment and demonstrate safe behaviors at all times.
- Understand and help improve quality systems and policies, including the Quality Data System, Safe Quality Food, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points.
- Learn to safely operate and monitor high-speed production equipment.
- Help resolve production-line issues, execute and develop standard work, track production data, and participate in the lean daily management process.
- Learn and participate in formal problem-solving processes with team members.
- Generate productivity and continuous-improvement ideas.
