Requirements

  • Minimum 3 months electronics manufacturing or other related experience required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
  • Ability to understand standard units of measure.
  • Ability to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices.
  • Ability to perform standard software operations including SAP.
  • Ability to sometimes lift, carry, push and pull up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to use power and hand tools, and ability to use custom tooling.
  • Regularly perform fine finger and hand activity / steady hand required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporaries.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Past soldering experience.

Responsibilities

  • Follows predetermined procedures to assemble, modify and rework moderately complex products and/or sub-assemblies requiring wiring, soldering and connecting.
  • Follows predetermined test procedures and performs minor troubleshooting at the assembly level to ensure proper operation of the instruments.
  • Packs products and accessories according to customer specifications.
  • Adheres to safety, housekeeping and quality standards as they relate to production and the company’s objective.
  • Maintains production goals through productivity targets and cost containment by eliminating waste.
  • Assembles and tests, including set-up, of moderately complex instruments and/or sub-assemblies requiring wiring and soldering following predetermined procedures.
  • Packages instruments and picks material from the warehouse.
  • Visually inspects and performs minor repairs.
  • Completes and maintains relevant paperwork and inputs information in the computer system.
