About The Position

MSA Safety is seeking a passionate, motivated, and driven Production Technician I for Final Assembly at their Cranberry Township, PA location. This is a purpose-driven role focused on assembling, modifying, and reworking moderately complex products and sub-assemblies. The ideal candidate will contribute to MSA's mission of protecting people and assets worldwide by ensuring product quality and safety.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 months electronics manufacturing or other related experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
• Ability to understand standard units of measure.
• Ability to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices.
• Ability to perform standard software operations including SAP.
• Ability to sometimes lift, carry, push and pull up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to use power and hand tools, and ability to use custom tooling.
• Regularly perform fine finger and hand activity / steady hand required.
• Ability to effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporaries.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Ability to work overtime as required.

Nice To Haves

• Past soldering experience.

Responsibilities

• Following predetermined procedures to assemble, modify and rework moderately complex products and/or sub-assemblies requiring wiring, soldering and connecting.
• Following predetermined test procedures and performing minor troubleshooting at the assembly level to ensure proper operation of the instruments.
• Packing products and accessories according to customer specifications.
• Adherence to safety, housekeeping and quality standards as they relate to production and the company’s objective.
• Maintaining production goals through productivity targets and cost containment by eliminating waste.
