Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in adult education, creative writing, instructional design/technology, or related field of study and two (2) years of related experience OR Associate’s degree and three (3) years of technical/manufacturing related experience OR High school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of technical/manufacturing related experience
  • Two (2) years of experience delivering technical training within a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facility, vocational or community college setting
  • Skilled in delivering technical training in manufacturing or GMP environments
  • Proficient in instructional design, needs analysis, and course development
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of production processes (paper)
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Effective at documenting job tasks and creating engaging training materials
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in dynamic settings
  • Understands the concepts of plastics manufacturing processes (preferred)
  • Adapts training to diverse learning styles and environments
  • Communicates clearly and confidently with all levels of staff
  • Builds rapport and engages learners effectively
  • Continuously improving training content and delivery
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to align training with operational needs

Responsibilities

  • Develop training documentation, assessments, and progress reports.
  • Create instructional materials, job aids, and SOP-based content.
  • Design paper-specific training modules for production and packaging.
  • Conduct needs assessments and skills gap analyses.
  • Establish feedback loops and continuous improvement plans for training programs.
  • Collaborate with corporate and site teams to align training with business goals.
  • Achieve high training completion and comprehension rates.
  • Improve employee performance and reduce onboarding time.
  • Drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency KPIs.
  • Gather positive feedback from trainees and supervisors.
  • Facilitate effective knowledge transfer during startup and new equipment launches.
  • Increase consistency in SOP adherence and GMP compliance.
  • Enhance readiness for paper production and packaging operations.
