We are currently hiring for the role of Production Technician. Summary As a Production Technician at Kele Inc., you will be responsible for assembling various temperature controls and interface products by performing the following duties.

Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Manual dexterity to perform keyboarding functions is required.
  • The employee is required to either sit or stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Required to lift /move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 70 pounds.
  • Requires close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform a few simple tasks and make simple judgements regarding limited variation in work routine or seek additional direction as needed.
  • General working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn and use company software.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and understand correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively with customers or other associates.
  • Limited control of own time and work materials; performs simple, routine tasks; may handle small amounts of cash or records; or performs routine procedures according to defined standards.
  • Close review of work by others.
  • Frequent contact with team members and supervisory staff where contacts are made within the context of standard procedures or practices.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume.

Responsibilities

  • Place parts in specified relationship to each other
  • Bolt, clip, screw or otherwise fastens parts together
  • Cut, strip, solder and mount electrical wire inside enclosures
  • Operate power tools, such as drill press and cordless drills
  • Regularly refer to vendor literature to review wiring diagrams and instructions to complete the assembly process
  • Contact vendors for technical support to complete the assembly process
  • Receive work orders for completed projects
  • Record daily progress in logbook
  • Work at different workstations as production needs require
  • Organize parts to be assembled in a production type process
  • Confer with Production Supervisor to determine status of assigned projects
