About The Position

The Production Technician meets daily production needs in manufacturing quality parts. This role requires the ability to work safely in a team environment, read and interpret specification sheets and mechanical drawings, and learn to use precision measuring instruments. The technician will also be responsible for setting up and troubleshooting equipment, assisting other shifts or areas as needed, and maintaining a clear work area. A key responsibility includes the washing of parts.

Requirements

  • Must be proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specification sheets, and/or mechanical drawings
  • Must be proficient in precision measurement or become proficient through training
  • Must be able to stand and hear
  • Must be able to walk; reach with hands/arms; lift and/or lower; push and/or pull; and use hands to finger, handle, feel and/or finely manipulate objects
  • Must frequently lift/move and/or push/pull up to 20 lbs.
  • Must occasionally lift/move and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Use of vision correction is acceptable, if necessary; however, any vision correction apparatus must meet all safety guidelines for the area of activity.
