About The Position

Agri-Mark/McCadam/Cabot Creamery, a company with over 100 years of history rooted in farming, family, and sustainability, is seeking full-time second shift Production Team Members for its fast-paced cutting and wrapping plant in Cabot, VT. Cabot Creamery, a B Corp certified dairy co-op, crafts award-winning products from milk sourced from Vermont and New Hampshire farms. This role involves working on production lines to package cheese while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Previous production and/or manufacturing experience is desired, but willing to train dependable and motivated individuals.
  • Ability to frequently lift 45 pounds.
  • Availability to work occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Process, accurately weigh and label trim, underweights, or other usable cheese, and store properly in trim totes.
  • Provide for movement of product through packaging lines, including separating pieces and feeding them to the check-weigher, packaging machines, or individually placing them into bags.
  • Accurately weigh pieces of cheese, communicate variances to target, and make necessary additions or subtractions prior to packaging.
  • Ensure product meets or exceeds quality standards, including being free from foreign objects, meeting metal detection expectations, and visual inspection of product.
  • Properly palletize product from lines, ensuring accurate counts, correct box information printing, and accurate and legible record-keeping.
  • Keep areas swept and clean, assist in changeovers, and/or help on other lines.
  • Communicate with team members (crew members, operators, line leads, supervisors) regarding quality, safety, mechanical, operational observations, concerns, and improvements.
  • Adhere to company rules, regulations, and core values, including the Code of Conduct.
  • Perform all work-related tasks using Good Manufacturing Practices by following the Food Safety and Food Quality requirements of the SQF Program.
  • Report any and all food safety issues and incidents to your supervisor or Line Leader immediately.
