About The Position

This is a full-time, hourly/nonexempt position in the Production Department at the AAPP Plant in Greeley, CO. The Production Team Member will receive work assignments and schedules from Production Leads and is responsible for ensuring the production line is supplied with necessary tools, equipment, production orders, and materials. The role requires operating all equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to company training and safety procedures, evaluating product quality, assisting with troubleshooting, and reporting production line performance results. Additionally, the team member must report faulty equipment, damages, and safety hazards to their supervisor or line lead.

Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Ability to provide proof of U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card) status.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening (e.g., drug screen, background check, etc.).
  • Must be able to complete with passing grade general labor and safety training and all required training for their position.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Actively promotes the production of safe quality pet proteins by participating in food safety and quality improvement meetings or teams.
  • Responding to food safety issues or quality issues of customers, as requested.
  • Monitoring the GMP state of the facility and employees and taking corrective actions as necessary.
  • Is consistently at work and on time.
  • Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments.
  • Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner.
  • Observes safety and security procedures; meets company and departmental safety goals; Proper utilization of required PPE at all times; reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly; actively participates in job hazard analysis and proposes potential solutions.
  • The employee must lift and/or move up to 85 pounds without mechanical assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Peripheral vision and Depth perception.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear or smell.

Responsibilities

  • Receives work assignments and schedules from Production Leads.
  • Ensure the production line is supplied with necessary tools, equipment, production orders, material, etc.
  • Demonstrates ability to operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner that adheres to company training and safety procedures.
  • Evaluation of product on production line to ensure it meets or exceeds quality standards.
  • Assist with troubleshooting mechanical and operations issues and ensure production line efficiencies.
  • Assist in the completion of production line performance results reporting.
  • Report faulty equipment, damages, and other safety hazards to supervisor/line lead.
