Requirements
- Strong communication skills to support teamwork and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient math skills for alloy chemistry calculations and furnace operations.
- Ability to work safely in extreme heat conditions and maintain physical stamina throughout the shift.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and process adherence.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Oracle software systems.
- Background in manufacturing, foundry, steel, or heavy industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Process scheduled work by melting metal to prescribed alloy specifications safely, accurately, and on time.
- Monitor furnace capacity, adjust alloy compositions, and ensure production schedules are met.
- Maintain chemistry accuracy and minimize scrap.
- Support efficient production flow.
- Verify alloy specifications and take samples for review to ensure metal quality meets required standards.
- Perform precise data entry related to heats.
- Accurately input production data into computer systems including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Oracle to maintain traceability and support operational reporting.
- Work in a high-heat industrial environment requiring extensive walking, physical agility, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Work closely with a small, team-oriented group under servant leadership, contributing to a culture of safety and production excellence.
- Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero harm behaviors in support of developing a world-class safety culture.
