Requirements

  • Strong communication skills to support teamwork and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient math skills for alloy chemistry calculations and furnace operations.
  • Ability to work safely in extreme heat conditions and maintain physical stamina throughout the shift.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and process adherence.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Oracle software systems.
  • Background in manufacturing, foundry, steel, or heavy industrial environments.

Responsibilities

  • Process scheduled work by melting metal to prescribed alloy specifications safely, accurately, and on time.
  • Monitor furnace capacity, adjust alloy compositions, and ensure production schedules are met.
  • Maintain chemistry accuracy and minimize scrap.
  • Support efficient production flow.
  • Verify alloy specifications and take samples for review to ensure metal quality meets required standards.
  • Perform precise data entry related to heats.
  • Accurately input production data into computer systems including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Oracle to maintain traceability and support operational reporting.
  • Work in a high-heat industrial environment requiring extensive walking, physical agility, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Work closely with a small, team-oriented group under servant leadership, contributing to a culture of safety and production excellence.
  • Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero harm behaviors in support of developing a world-class safety culture.
