About The Position

Magna is seeking a Production Team Leader to support daily manufacturing operations by directing workflow within a production area, training operators, supporting quality initiatives, and helping ensure production goals are met safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on leadership role that serves as a key resource for operators and production support teams.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
Manufacturing, production, team lead, or leadership experience preferred
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to make decisions, set direction, and prioritize tasks effectively
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and support team members
High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
Ability to collect information, identify issues, and implement effective solutions

Responsibilities

Train and support operators on machine operation, quality inspections, and standardized work procedures
Assist with daily production activities to help maintain safety, quality, and productivity goals
Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate support for machine or tooling concerns
Monitor product quality and report non-conforming parts to leadership and quality teams
Update communication boards and escalate operational issues as needed
Complete maintenance work orders and support equipment uptime efforts
Conduct daily 5S, safety, and workstation audits
Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate goals, concerns, and production updates
Respond to Andon calls and coordinate the appropriate support groups
Fill in for operators when needed and support production flow throughout the shift
Drive continuous improvement efforts to improve processes, products, and workplace efficiency
