About The Position

This role supports production associates in achieving plant objectives related to safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale. The Production Team Leader ensures 5S standards are maintained, abnormal situations are handled properly, and all necessary documentation is completed in accordance with the Rules of Manufacturing and Standard Work. This position leads B-Operators and Production Associates within their work group and reports issues and improvement suggestions to the Supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good attendance and work record.
• Experienced in problem solving and reporting (i.e., 8-D, PR/R, QR, etc.).
• Computer literate.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Team player.
• Self-motivated.
• Willing to travel.

• One year of employment at Douglas prior to appointment.

Responsibilities

• Ensures 5S standards are maintained and makes suggestions for improvement.
• Ensures each abnormal situation is properly controlled/handled.
• Completes hourly tracking and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
• Ensures all documentation is completed on a daily basis (scrap, PM, Poke Yoke, etc.).
• Ensures all Rules of Manufacturing are followed.
• Identifies and assists in improving safety concerns.
• Completes required off-line inspection for the line.
• Leads teardown associate.
• Assists Supervisor with other duties as needed.
