About The Position

Crestline Coach Ltd. is seeking an energetic & professional individual to add to our Production Department. As a Team Lead, you will support daily manufacturing throughput and output, lead team members in their day-to-day activities in a fast-paced assembly environment, and provide clear expectations while holding team members accountable. You will oversee the assembly process, ensuring all incoming units meet quality standards, and monitor and address output & productivity issues within assigned departments. The role involves taking responsibility for maximum production output while maintaining high quality and employee morale, coordinating workflow for downstream teams, and ensuring materials, tools, and information are available for efficient production. You will also lead process improvement activities, plan for Kaizen activities, and take ownership of processes and products to ensure quality standards are met. Identifying and addressing issues proactively to prevent rework and downstream disruption, promoting a culture of doing the work right the first time, and working with the Safety & Quality Manager to ensure employee safety and equipment maintenance are key responsibilities. Complying with all federal and provincial safety standards and driving workforce initiatives towards a Mission Zero incident safety culture is essential. You will support team members by proactively addressing issues affecting quality, delivery, and productivity through daily meetings and cross-functional collaboration, building a strong, collaborative team environment, coordinating coverage for absenteeism, and addressing performance, engagement, and development needs. Leading by example, creating a sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability within the team is also expected.

Responsibilities

  • Support Daily Manufacturing Throughput and Output
  • Lead Team Members in the performance of their day-to-day activities in a fast-paced assembly environment
  • Provide clear expectations and hold team members accountable while providing continual feedback, coaching, and direction
  • Oversee the assembly process, ensuring all incoming units meet quality standards before proceeding down the line
  • Monitor and address output & productivity issues within assigned departments, including meeting production targets, cycle time, and quality standards
  • Take responsibility for ensuring the maximum production output while maintaining the highest level of quality and employee morale
  • Coordinate workflow to ensure work completed in the area sets downstream teams up for success
  • Ensure all materials, tools, and information are available to support efficient production
  • Lead process improvement activities by coordinating cross functional teams comprised of production, materials, maintenance, quality and engineering
  • Plan for all pre and post-Kaizen activities in the area, with support from the Lean Team
  • Take ownership of all processes and products to ensure quality standards are consistently met before units move to the next stage
  • Identify and address issues proactively to prevent rework and downstream disruption
  • Promote a culture focused on doing the work right the first time
  • Work with the Safety & Quality Manager to ensure the safety of employees and maintenance of equipment
  • Comply with all federal and provincial safety standards, guidelines and policies by driving workforce initiatives such as our health and safety system towards a Mission Zero incident safety culture
