About The Position

SoundOff Signal is seeking a Production Team Lead for the 1st shift. This role is responsible for leading a production team, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, and managing personnel resources. The Team Lead will assess department requirements, schedule work, coordinate fulfillment of customer orders, and communicate effectively between team members and management. Key aspects of the role include fostering a team environment, coaching employees, problem-solving, ensuring product quality, and upholding safety procedures. The position requires a hands-on approach, balancing direct involvement with support functions to maximize throughput. The Team Lead will also be responsible for disciplinary actions when necessary and ensuring the team stays focused on its goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Competent in all processes within the department.
  • Willing and able to train others in all department processes.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years electronics experience.
  • One (1) year supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work minimum 8 hour shifts, and flex hours early or late with little or no notice.
  • Ability to perform job consistently and without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.

  • Troubleshoot department equipment.
  • Balance hands-on involvement with background support functions to maximize department throughput capacity.
  • Perform disciplinary activities within the department when required.
  • Keep the team focused and motivated towards its goals.
  • Identify problems using critical thinking and deductive reasoning, gather and analyze data, and implement solutions.
  • Report department progress, completion, non-completion of work, and the reasons for each.
  • Measure employee performance to understand their needs for growth, learning, and compliance with SoundOff Signal Standards.
  • Ensure manufactured products meet SoundOff Signal quality standards.
  • Check finished product as needed to ensure quality standards are being met and keep records of equipment, deliveries, and worker performance.
  • Assure quality control procedures (ISO, ESD) are being followed.
  • Prioritize the safety of team members, educate them in SoundOff Signal safety procedures, and ensure procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure team members are aware of all needed PPE and are following all PPE requirements.
  • Evaluate manufacturing equipment for safety and functionality.
  • Hold the department and team members to SoundOff Signal 5S standards.
  • Perform job consistently and without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
