About The Position

Aluminum Precision Products (APP) is seeking a Production Lead to assist the Supervisor in directing assigned work activities at their manufacturing site. This is a working lead position where you will instruct, direct, and inform employees on tasks while also performing your regular job duties. APP is a leader in manufacturing aluminum forgings, offering a challenging and rewarding environment with opportunities for growth.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in a production environment.
Strong organization skills, detail-oriented, and exceptional follow-through.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with customers, management, and employees.
Basic knowledge of chart and graph interpretation.
Knowledge of production equipment and work flow process.
Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
Ability to assist and lead others.
Able to understand instructions and safety procedures.
Good attendance and no verbal/written warnings within the past year.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person (lawful permanent resident or protected individual).

Responsibilities

Instructs and directs work activities of employees in assigned work areas.
Keeps close track of work in progress and regularly communicates with co-workers, Leads, Supervisors, and Managers.
Aids in training and works with the Supervisor to direct activities of all production personnel.
Maintains a working knowledge of Company policies and procedures.
Maintains an acceptable attendance record.
Complies with all APP, Inc. safety rules, company policies, and code of conduct.
Assists in corrective action activities as requested.
Assists in Customer, Internal, NADCAP, and AS 9100 audits as required.
Reports any equipment or facility defect(s) to Supervisor/Manager.
Ensures any accident or injury is promptly reported per APP’s safety policy.
Takes accountability for APP’s safety initiatives.
Operates in a drug-free workplace.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Takes ownership of Company’s KPI’s and Cultural Beliefs.
Continues to perform regular job/work functions and duties as a working Lead.
Provides job cross-training when/where necessary.
Aids in explaining the use of tools, equipment, and production processes to new personnel.
Ensures operating efficiencies are met and the flow of production remains on schedule.
Performs any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.
