About The Position

To provide assistance in the oversight of the day-to-day floor operation of assigned departments. The position is responsible for providing guidance and direction to department employees to maximize productivity and efficiency while maintaining a safe and positive work environment. This position reports to Production Manager who evaluates performance annually. Requirements

Ability to become proficient in all department roles and train others to perform duties associated with them.
Effectively manage the pressure of meeting production quotas.
Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding the needs of individuals with disabilities and those facing economic challenges.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and provide proof of insurance to travel to different job sites.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Flexible availability.
Able to frequently bend, twist, reach above shoulder level, push and pull, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to safely operate standard industrial production equipment.
Must be at least 18 years of age and able obtain required certification to safely operate forklift, baler and compactor.

Responsibilities

Support the Production Manager and Warehouse Supervisor in overseeing daily operations within assigned departments.
Set a positive example for team members through professionalism in attitude, attendance, attire, work ethic, and productivity.
Foster a positive work environment by maintaining good employee morale.
Adhere to the dress code and wear the designated identification provided by the company.
Monitor department employees to ensure they are completing their assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.
Ensure that salvage items and donated goods are properly stored in the warehouse.
Move gaylord boxes as needed to maintain an organized workspace.
Load and unload semi-trucks efficiently and safely.
Keep all workstations stocked with necessary supplies to support continuous workflow.
Cover for vacant positions as needed to maintain productivity.
Accurately complete and submit daily production reports.
Learn and perform all responsibilities of the Production Assistant role as needed.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
