About The Position

Konica Minolta currently has an exciting opportunity for a Production Systems Specialist! This role involves performing full-range on-site maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and customer call assistance on assigned products, including KM Production, Color production, MFP equipment, and printers (both KM and non-KM like HP, Lexmark). Responsibilities also include equipment installation/de-installations, configuring and troubleshooting networking issues (Printing and Scanning) on Windows/MAC OS, loading print drivers, cloning files, transferring address books, and performing firmware upgrades. The specialist will travel locally daily to customer sites, manage territory work volume, and maintain high customer satisfaction. Occasional travel outside the local area for training is also required. Communication with management on customer or field issues is essential, as is the successful completion of training classes and effective servicing of products, with the ability to request assistance when necessary. The role requires following proper call handling procedures, meeting minimum productivity measures, and showing measurable progress in technical abilities, troubleshooting techniques, and overall productivity. Utilizing current technology and company assets (Laptops, Cell phones) to access service literature is expected. The specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate ASL truck inventory for their territory and training customers on basic printing, scanning, and copying functions. Accurate and timely completion of weekly timesheets and expense reports is required, along with providing sales support as needed.

Requirements

  • Must possess electrical/mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiar with printing from common business applications and graphics programs.
  • Microsoft OS peer to peer and MAC OS client side of server environments.
  • Must have excellent time management skills and be capable of prioritizing activities and schedule to obtain effective results.
  • Exhibit professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Teamwork; must work well with others
  • Understands territory parts budget and inventory control.
  • Basic knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Assist to create equipment deployments guides.
  • Minimum of a High School diploma or GED required.
  • 2-3 years of experience related to technical/repair of business equipment.
  • Certified on N+ or equivalent
  • Pass background, security and drug test.
  • Position requires use of personal car which is eligible for vehicle maintenance compensation program.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Technical School training preferred.
  • Additional IT certifications or training are a plus
  • For internal applicants requires Konica Minolta internal certifications on: Outward Associate, Outward Professional, Outward Expert - Color, Outward Expert - Production Print
  • Production Print Foundations Virtual Classroom, Fiery and/or Creo working knowledge and Certification

  • Ability to use current technology and company issued assets (Laptops, Cell phone, etc.) to access websites and links for access to part books, service manuals, bulletins and other service literature and develops familiarity with contents.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate ASL truck inventory for designated territory.
  • Train customers on basic printing, scanning, copying functions.
  • Accurately and timely complete weekly timesheet and expense reports.
  • Provide sales support as required (i.e. advising sales on problems accounts, service leads).
