About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and service-driven professional to join our Application Support team. In this role, you will provide responsive, high-quality technical support for our world-class in-house trading system used by our investment team. Working closely with cross-functional development teams and in direct partnership with portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, traders, and operations teams, you will ensure seamless system performance while troubleshooting complex issues. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional problem-solving abilities, a collaborative mindset, strong customer service skills, and can bring innovative ideas to life. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT related discipline
  • 5-10 years’ experience working in a production support function
  • Understanding of one or more global market asset classes
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with an ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with various stakeholders across various teams
  • Technical skill set required, preferably Python and exposure to trading systems [EMSX, Flextrade or similar EMS systems]
  • Knowledge of FIX, Linux and SQL Server is essential
  • Experience with Marketdata, GIT, Jira
  • Must be flexible with work hours and/or expected to respond to and troubleshoot issues

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the administration, monitoring, and maintenance of software applications
  • Ensure trading systems are performing as intended through a series of system checks
  • Respond to issues raised by investment or middle office teams
  • Perform QA testing for new functionality
  • Develop relationships with business community and market data providers
  • Prioritize issues raised and resolve them accordingly
  • Diagnose, investigate, and resolve production issues across Capstone's trading systems and manage communications with investment, risk, and other operational teams
  • Build alerting tools, manage logs, and analyze system performance to proactively detect issues, assess operational risk, and drive continuous improvement
  • Identify bottlenecks in the systems and assist in implementing robust solutions that improve stability and efficiency
  • Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex technical problems in a timely manner
  • Liaise with external brokers/vendors on order flow issues and minimize disruption
  • Maintain clear documentation of critical systems, workflows, and support procedures
