About The Position

Greif is hiring a 2nd Shift Production Support colleague to operate routine production machinery according to provided prints and specifications. The role produces parts to established quantities, specifications, and tolerances; measures finished parts with precision tools; maintains production records; and reports errors that result in rejected or discarded pieces. The colleague also checks equipment setup and alignment, performs basic adjustments and routine maintenance, and keeps the work area clean, safe, and orderly while following safety regulations. Other duties may be assigned. The position typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and up to two years of relevant experience. Pay is $18.86 per hour, and the position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive. Requirements

Typically, a high school diploma or equivalent and up to 2 years of relevant experience.
Willingness to follow directions and work well in a team.
Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machinery.
Fundamental understanding of production equipment or ability to learn it quickly.

Responsibilities

Operate routine production machinery in accordance with provided prints and specifications.
Carry out routine activities to produce the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
Measure finished parts with precision tools to ensure they meet functional, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
Maintain logs and records of units produced and report errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
Inspect equipment before use to ensure proper setup and alignment, and perform basic adjustments and routine maintenance.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
Follow safety regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
