About The Position

The Cheese Production Worker performs general production activities involved in the manufacturing process. The role follows established production standards and procedures, operates and monitors equipment, completes paperwork and records, and supports other areas of the manufacturing plant when necessary. The schedule is 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, plus one weekend per month. Starting pay is $22.49.

Requirements

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent skills through experience.
Ability to read, interpret, and understand written and oral directions.
Knowledge of the proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies.
Basic math skills to calculate production yields and understand weights and measures.
Ability to verbally communicate, understand, and write in English.
Ability to work flexible hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

Perform all functions of the manufacturing process according to established production standards.
Inspect equipment to ensure proper operation and safety.
Follow operational procedures and complete required paperwork.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), quality control, cleaning, and sanitation procedures.
Follow all safety procedures.
Record accurate production counts.
Operate equipment properly and be accountable for its operation.
Immediately report non-compliant, defective, or substandard product to the supervisor.
Operate all CIP systems correctly.
Keep accurate records, run accurate tests, and take accurate samples.
Assist in other areas of the manufacturing plant when necessary.
