About The Position

Precision Press, a division of Taylor Corporation, is hiring a Production Assembly and Support team member at its North Mankato, Minnesota facility. The role involves hand operations, packing and inspecting products, moving printed materials through production, and following job instructions and safety procedures. Duties may occasionally be performed seated but are likely to be performed while standing. The position is on third shift, Monday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. The anticipated hourly pay range is $17–$19, depending on factors including qualifications, relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Requirements

Ability to read, interpret, and decipher general written instructions, including work orders, parts orders, safety regulations, and operating procedures.
Ability to speak and communicate effectively with fellow employees.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to use common-sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information so others understand.
Ability to remain in a stationary position regularly.
Ability to operate machinery and handle products, including printed materials, constantly.
Ability to move around inside the facility frequently.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry more than 25 pounds regularly.
Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Perform hand operations such as applying labels, cutting and wrapping products, using tape dispensers, and operating foot controls.
Pack products in boxes and tape boxes shut for shipping while inspecting products for quality defects.
Stack, pack, and transport printed materials at various stages of completion on pallets as they accumulate on equipment delivery tables.
Read and follow job instructions to produce orders according to specifications.
Maintain attendance according to facility guidelines and work constructively with coworkers, supervisors, and vendors.
Float across departments and assist where needed.
Follow safety rules, procedures, and standards.
