The supply chain team is the heart of CHEP's business. The Production Support employee provides floor support for pallet repair and assembly line operators. This position is responsible for loading, stacking, prepping, or treating lumber to flow through the production line for repair and/or assembly. The employee will ensure the efficient flow of materials, contribute to the production process, and maintain a high level of accuracy. The role involves working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. May require standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is necessary. • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic production environment.
• Preferred experience in a production support or materials handling role in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Feed lumber into designated machinery and workstations for repair and assembly.
• Move materials to and from the production floor as requested.
• Treat lumber and other material to ensure asset longevity.
• Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient production area.
• May backfill the production lines during breaks or as needs arise.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling and transporting lumber.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.
