About The Position

The Production Support Analyst tracks the discrepancies, non-conformities and issues that hold up work order progression on the shop floor, in accordance with company procedures, approved technical data and applicable regulatory requirements. The position is the entry level of the Production analytical track. The role first takes charge of tracking and documenting files, then extends its autonomy to cause analysis and the recommendation of corrective actions in line with the development plan set out below. It acts as a technical resource to technicians on documentation and procedural questions. The position sits within Production and works closely with Quality Assurance, Planning and Engineering to facilitate workflow and maintain high standards of workmanship, including health and safety.

Requirements

  • Vocational, technical diploma, university certificate or equivalent experience in aviation, manufacturing or a related technical field. A recognized AME license stands in lieu of a diploma.
  • 2 years in a regulated production environment (aerospace, medical device, pharmaceutical, nuclear, rail or defense). Aircraft maintenance technician experience is recognized on this basis.
  • Exposure to the handling of non-conformities and corrective actions (NCR, CAPA or equivalent), gained on the shop floor or in a quality function.
  • Documentation discipline and demonstrated ability to keep a file current and carry it to closure.
  • Comfort with Excel and readiness to train in data extraction and analysis within a production ERP.
  • Bilingual in English and French for easy communication with clients and suppliers worldwide as well as internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of English sufficient to read technical documentation and correspond with English-speaking counterparts.

  • Aviation MRO experience or familiarity with Transport Canada, EASA or FAA requirements.
  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license.
  • Training in a root cause methodology or in continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma).

Responsibilities

  • Track discrepancies raised during maintenance activities, from opening through to documented resolution.
  • Maintain the Non-Conformity Report (NCR) cycle: recording, coordination with the departments concerned, follow-up and closure within established timeframes.
  • Take part in the investigation of recurring issues and, as competence develops, conduct root cause analysis independently.
  • Monitor agreed corrective actions and escalate delayed or blocked files to the Production Manager.
  • Verify that maintenance documentation and records satisfy applicable Transport Canada, FAA and EASA requirements, and report deviations.
  • Record and analyze the causes of work stoppages — parts availability, technical data, tooling, quality disposition — and identify trends.
  • Produce the production and compliance indicators used by the Production Manager, at the established frequency.
  • Respond to technician enquiries on documentation requirements, quality procedures and access to approved technical data, and refer matters beyond the scope of the role of Quality Assurance or the Production Manager.
  • Provide data and open-file status to operational meetings and committees and contribute to the determination of measures preventing recurrence.
  • Participate in improvement initiatives addressing efficiency, compliance and workmanship.
  • Support production health and safety files in coordination with the workplace committee.
