About The Position

The General Responsibility is to prepare client samples for analysis in our laboratories. Candidates must have the ability to periodically lift weights throughout the day and work in a dusty and very hot environment. Otherwise, such a position would not suit you. Safety prohibits wearing contact lenses at all times in the laboratory.

Requirements

• Good communication and hand-coordination skills are required
• Good organizational skills
• Variable schedule
• Demonstrates an understanding of basic communication techniques (verbally and in writing)
• Ability to work in a very hot and dusty environment

Responsibilities

• Perform grinding, sieving (including international soils), and splitting under direct supervision
• Loading and unloading drying ovens under supervision
• Maintain a production log/journal
• Grinding and preparation of geological samples for analysis
• Work with light industrial equipment
• Correct application of products and methods accordingly
• Familiar with all safety rules for the laboratory and sample preparation
• Other tasks assigned by the director, assistant director or supervisors
