About The Position

Responsible to supervise and grow production personnel in order to optimize work flow, productivity and to meet the production and company goals. Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Understand and/or working knowledge of master schedules, operating and recovery plans.
  • Computer skills: Excel, Outlook, Word, MSTeams, Epicor
  • Working knowledge of ISO-9000 or AS9100 requirements is suggested
  • 2 to 3 years prior supervisory/leadership experience, with demonstrated ability to train/develop individuals for potential growth
  • Moderate travel within the U.S. and abroad may be required to support JAMCO America programs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct up to 40 employees (contract and/or direct hire) at different levels of experience in the production of aerospace products created by Jamco America.
  • Provide hands-on leadership and motivation through training and personal example to build and reinforce a team-oriented culture.
  • Responsible for maintaining production schedules, mechanics assignments, workload distribution and adherence to budgets.
  • Foster and create an empowering and cohesive team environment which builds confidence, morale, and a strong sense of self and team for all employees.
  • Build an environment such that each employee recognizes their role in achieving and maintaining a positive culture producing high quality workmanship.
  • Develop effective and supportive working relationships with employees, thereby building mutual respect though open communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor and address production schedule capacity needs and estimate hour requirements for completion of job assignment(s).
  • Monitor personnel including but not limited to attendance, performance, team building and attitude. Situations could be celebratory or disciplinary in nature.
  • Appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, address complaints and resolve problems across the department.
  • Interface with other departments on a daily basis (or as needed) to coordinate activities throughout the company.
  • Work with manager to support the departmental personnel needs including interviewing, hiring, training, developing talents, and providing opportunities for development and growth.
  • Identify, recommend and implement measures to optimize production methods, efficiency of shop, department or work crew, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Analyze and resolve problems in the production flow to ensure optimum efficiency.
  • Interpret and enforce company policies to employees especially safety regulations.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, establish priorities, and assign duties to employees. Establish or adjust work procedures within policy guidelines to meet production schedules.
  • Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials used on a common basis for production.
