About The Position

The Switching and Fusing location in Leeds, AL is looking for a Production Supervisor for 2nd Shift. The Production Supervisor will oversee the production process in a manufacturing facility, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining safety protocols and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage and motivate a team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, and equipment.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, including the ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments.
• Ability to quickly assess situations, identify problems, and implement effective solutions.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques is a plus.
• experience with SAP preferred

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and conduct safety training as needed.
• Manage and supervise a team of production workers, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training and development opportunities.
• Work with production planners to organize workflow, establish priorities, and ensure that production schedules are met.
• Monitor the production process to ensure products meet quality standards and address any issues that arise to maintain product quality.
• Ensure that raw materials and supplies are available for production and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and arrange for repairs or replacements as necessary.
• Identify areas for improvement in the production process and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, downtime, and quality issues, and prepare reports for management.
• Quickly identify and resolve production issues, whether related to machinery, staffing, or supply chain problems.
