About The Position

The production supervisor is responsible for increasing productivity with innovative methods and motivating staff to perform the best they can. This role involves coordinating production activities for the respective area, ensuring that obstacles are identified and resolved. The supervisor assists with minimizing labor overtime and maintaining production schedules and quality standards. They are expected to recognize and help solve problems affecting production, quality, safety, and productivity, and apply tools of Lean Manufacturing (including 5s, Value Stream Mapping, Poke Yoke, VA/VE) and Industrial Engineering (including Work Element Measurement, Process Flow). The position also focuses on minimizing attrition through effective coaching practices and employee relations, fostering a culture of empowerment for continuous improvement, and helping implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs. The supervisor makes recommendations to the Plant Manager for facilities and equipment when necessary, incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness, provides effective communication, and actively engages in all Safety initiatives to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 5 years in manufacturing experience, with operational knowledge of processes, equipment, and facilities.
  • Training in Lean Manufacturing, TPS, and Demand Flow
  • Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.
  • Exceptional communication and proven leadership skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook

Responsibilities
